FPM braid is a fluoroplastic chemical-resistant
self-lubricating packing and gasket material intended for use
within the temperature range from -60 to +150 îÑ (grade
FPM-V) or to +200 îÑ (grade FPM-Î) under media
pressures of up to 6,3 MPa.
FPM braid of grade "V" contains "V" lubricant (liquid
paraffin) and is intended for use as a sealant for general
industrial aggressive media.
FPM braid of grade "O" is intended for use in pure media and
strong oxidants (it does not contain any liquid paraffin).
The main difference between fluoroplastic braids of grade
"V" and "O" grades in terms or their physical and mechanical
properties is that "V" braids are "softer" and has better
elasticity but can not be subjected to further thermal
treatment.
